If you like hunting and fishing here's what we have to offer:

randy deer 1.bmp

Whitetail deer is one of the most exciting game animals to hunt and we have some of the most magnificent whitetail deer in the nation. Our whitetails have been seen in the SCI record book. Our whitetail deer are the result of a 20-year, genetic breeding program. They are coupled with a closely controlled nutritional program, resulting in world-class game animals that produce record-size racks.

elk 1.bmp

Elk have played an important role in the cultural history of American Indians, especially the Lakota, the proud members of the Great Sioux Nation. The Lakota believed that the spiritual elk was the teacher of men and the embodiment of strength, sexual prowess, and courage.  At Hunter Ridge Ranch, we offer the opportunity to create your own elk history by taking one of our trophy elk. With our quality, genetic-breeding program, you will find some of our elk score over 400.  Not only does elk provide a fine trophy, they provide delicious meat. Elk meat is lean and flavorful and lower in fat and cholesterol than beef, pork, chicken, and some seafood, according to health experts.

red 1.bmp

The Red Deer have a long heritage dating back over 40,000 years with numerous European caves in which Red Stag have been depicted. The species were introduced into New Zealand and subsequently thrived producing large antlered deer.  The Red Stag is known for its massive size, scoring from 230 to over 400. These animals are thought to be the most beautiful antlered deer in the world.  At our Ranch, you can experience the sport of kings when you harvest this magnificent trophy. Our Red Deer are known for their large crown. Red Stag are especially challenging because they are constantly on alert for predators and are usually only seen in low light.  Just like elk, these deer provide tasty and low fat meat.

fallow deer 1.bmp

The Fallow Deer is native to Europe. They were spread across Europe by the Romans. The Fallow Deer were first introduced into southern England in the first century AD. They range in size from small to medium. The bucks are known for their impressive palmate antlers. These deer have three color phases: white, chocolate, and spotted. Fallow Deer are active throughout a 24-hour period but usually make more use of open spaces during the hours of darkness.  Although the Fallow Deer is one of our smaller deer, they compensate for it with their impressive racks. At Hunter Ridge Ranch, you can harvest one of these remarkable palmate mounts with a lot of points. They win the trophy prize for the largest antlers in the world per body weight. They also make for a challenging hunt due to their excellent vision, hearing, and olfaction.

buffalo 1.bmp

Although buffalos are associated with the Wild West, they actually originated in Eurasia and migrated over the Bering Strait. The American buffalo, also known as the American bison replaced its larger relative, the steppe bison, about 10,000 years ago. The bison was a popular hunt for the Plains Indians due to their large quantities of meat. The bison also provided leather, sinew for bows, and glue from their hooves. The bison was also a popular hunt and a valuable food source for the early Americans traveling the Oregon Trail and those heading west in the California Gold Rush.  We invite you to experience your own piece of American History as you trophy one of our immense buffalo, just as our ancestors did before us. Buffalo provide impressive mounts and hides. They also supply pounds of meat tasting similar to beef but lower in fat. Be prepared to take home plenty of bison burgers, steaks, and roasts.

turkey 2.bmp

Wild turkeys are native to North America and are much more adaptable than previously thought. Prospects for continued high population levels of wild turkey in Missouri are excellent. We cover 1,000 acres of pristine hardwoods on the Big Niangua River, just south of Lake Ozark. This is prime turkey habitat. Our guides know the ridges and valleys and are great callers.

duck 1.bmp

We offer a unique setting for duck hunting in the beautiful Ozark hills.  The areas are relatively secluded with little pressure.  Our hunts include boat blinds, permanent blinds and hunting over decoys for mallard, gadwall, teal and widgeons.  We also offer float hunting.  You can enjoy a mixed bag of duck hunting because we also have open water hunting over decoys at surrounding lakes.  You'll find puddle ducks as well as golden-eye, lesser scaup, ring-necks and a variety of other diving ducks.  So for puddle ducks or diving ducks, make our Ranch your new home for duck hunting.

randy fish.bmp

We are now offering guided fishing trips on the scenic Big Niangua River, which is one of the premier trophy smallmouth bass rivers in the country.  It is not uncommon to find a smallmouth in the 4-5 pound range. Along with smallmouth bass, the Niangua River is also bountiful of largemouth bass, spotted bass, crappie, trout, goggle-eye, and other game fish. The Niangua River actually produced Missouri's first record fish of 2010 which was a 4 pound 5 ounce white sucker.  With very limited access and light fishing pressure combined with knowledgeable guides, you are sure to have the most memorable fishing experience. Come spend a day with us and experience the special allure of the Niangua River as it winds its way throughout the beautiful Ozark Mountains. We will provide you with everything you need, including a shore line lunch, snacks, and beverages, making your fishing trip with us a truly unforgettable experience. Bring your family and friends; this is the perfect memory to share with the ones you love.
